PLEO: Professional LEO Installation for When Your Install Needs That Little Bit Extra

Starlink is built so that many people can set it up themselves, and for plenty of homes a dish on the supplied mount works fine. But many properties need more than that. They might have a high gable, a stone chimney, a long cable run, a listed building or a static caravan, or they might need Wi-Fi across a farmyard. That's where a PLEO install comes in.

What PLEO means

PLEO stands for Professional Low Earth Orbit. It means a skilled, professional installation of Starlink, Amazon Leo and similar satellite broadband systems, planned around your property rather than a one-size kit. PLEO is our own standard for professional installs. It is not an official Starlink or Amazon accreditation.

Why professional installation matters

Safety at height. Starlink's own setup guides say that if you are uncomfortable with any part of the installation process, you should not attempt it and should contact a professional. Roofs, gables and chimneys mean ladders and working at height. We plan safe access on every job.

Mounts that last. We use quality galvanised brackets and alloy masts matched to the roof, chimney or wall, not plastics. The aim is a rigid dish with a clear view of the sky that stays put through a British winter.

Weatherproofing. Starlink's guidance says drilled holes should be properly sealed to keep water and bugs out. We seal every fixing and entry point we make.

Cable entry. Cat6 is made to fit on site and routed neatly into the building, whether that's through a wall, into the loft or down into a comms cupboard. You don't get loose cable or a window jammed open.

Networking and mesh. A fast dish is only half the job if the Wi-Fi doesn't reach where you need it. We provide full network services: mesh Wi-Fi and outdoor access points for gardens, yards and outbuildings.

Listed buildings and planning. According to the government's Planning Portal, if you live in a listed building you generally need listed building consent for any antenna that affects its character, appearance or setting. Conservation areas have extra limits on where dishes can go. We take care over positioning on listed buildings, lodges and park homes, and we'll talk the options through with you before anything is fixed.
